The Steele Luau and Auction is the biggest fund raiser of the year for the Steele PTA.  The proceeds contribute to the Academic Development Fund, which enhances the Steele community in many ways.  Our student/teacher ratio is lower than most schools because of our wonderful paraprofessionals and interns.  Money from the Academic Development Fund helps to pay their salaries as well as many other educational endeavors. 

 

Just as important is the opportunity for the Steele community to have some fun together in an adult-only casual atmosphere.  It is the perfect place to reacquaint your self with old friends and make new ones.  You won’t want to miss it!

 

This auction could not take place without the many contributions from the entire Steele community.  We especially want to thank the parent volunteers who donate hundreds of hours organizing the auction, collecting donations, working on marketing and communication projects, cataloging the items, preparing this booklet, decorating, setting up the evening, and completing the art projects over the last few months.  Many parents give their time and talents in order to make this fund raiser a success. 

 

We would like to thank our 2008 Steele Auction merchant donors, those who have supported our school for many years and those who join us this year.  We are grateful.  Please join us in thanking them for their support of Steele Elementary and show your appreciation by frequently patronizing their businesses.  Also, we want to thank all of the parents, students, and staff that donated items or solicited many of the wonderful donations featured in this catalog.
